How to make a fishing rod rack

Well. Building a Fishing Rod Rack is a easy . And its important to store it carefully . And remember to use quality raw materials , that will keep them sturdy and durable.

These are the things you will need :-

  • 1 piece of 10 feet by 1 inch by 4 inch wood plank.
  • 1 10-foot long PVC pipe, 1.5 inch in diameter.
  • 26 pieces of ¾ inch self tapping screws.
  • 4 pieces of 2-inch self tapping screws.
  • Drill.
  • Screw driving bit.
  • Hole drilling bit.
  • Tape measure.
  • Pencil.
  • Saw.
  • Sandpaper.
Ok I think you all have got the things to start the work

Step 1 :-
  • Measure 70 inches on the wood plank.
  • Mark with a pencil.
  • Saw the wood at the 70-inch mark and set the
  • Excess wood aside.
Step 2 :-

  • Mark one side of the wood plank every 10 inches starting from one end.
  • Turn the plank on the other side and start marking from one end, first by 5 inches and then every 10 inches.
  • This will give 5 inches of space in between each fishing rod, on alternating sides, when the project is done.

Step 3 :-

  • Get the excess wood plank and cut 2 pieces 8-inches each, which will be used for the fishing rod rack's feet.
  • Screw the wider side of the feet to one end of the 70-inch wood plank using the 2-inch self tapping screws.
  • Lower the feet about half an inch to raise the rack off the ground and add to its stability.
  • Repeat with the other piece of 8-inch wood.

Step 4 :-

  • Grab your PVC pipe.
  • Measure and mark every 9 inches and saw off each section.
  • You can sandpaper the ends of each tube to smooth out the sharp edges.

Step 5 :-

  • Measure an inch from the bottom end of the PVC pipes and mark with a pencil.
  • Then measure about 2 inches from the first mark.
  • Drill a pilot hole in your PVC pipe sections on the places where you marked.
  • This hole is your screw driver access.

Step 6 :-

  • Attach the PVC pipes right on the markings on your wooden rack using a drill with the screw driving bit and the ¾ inch self tapping screws.

Ok now the Fishing Rod Rack is done . Have fun
